Barack Hussein Obama does<\/em> have lots and lots of experience. <\/span>He does! <\/span>We promise! <\/span>I mean, he was a senator and<\/em> a lawyer and<\/em> was a community organizer after college. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Well, okay, maybe he only served 143 days as a US Senator before he started the presidential process, but still<\/em>! <\/span>That\u2019s beside the point! <\/span>He\u2019s charismatic! <\/span>He\u2019s a leader! <\/span>He says the words \u201cchange\u201d and \u201chope\u201d and \u201cdifference\u201d much more than McCain does! <\/span>He\u2019s young (relatively), and he overcame a hard childhood to become what he is today! <\/span><\/p>\n Really, if you want to talk about lack of experience, let\u2019s talk about Sarah Palin. <\/span>I mean, sure, she has more executive<\/em> experience than McCain, Obama, and Biden put together, but it was just in running a state. <\/span>Legislative experience is much<\/em> more useful than executive experience. <\/span>(Who cares if being the President falls under our Executive branch of government? <\/span>Details, details.) <\/span>Sure, Palin\u2019s dealt with the oil industries and pipeline talks with Canada, but Obama dealt with important<\/em> issues like voter-registration drives.<\/span><\/p>\n As the executive<\/em> office holder (aka governor) of Alaska, Palin had control over the Alaska National Guard.<\/span><\/p>\n Obama\u2026had control over\u2026.uh\u2026.he\u2026says \u201cchange\u201d a lot! <\/span>And he\u2019s charismatic! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n And\u2026well\u2026at least Obama admits to his inexperience by saying, \u201cMy lack of experience is my greatest asset.\u201d <\/span>Yeah! <\/span>Who needs experience learning how to run towns, and cities, and states, and nations!? <\/span>We don\u2019t! <\/span>Who needs experience with foreign policy?! <\/span>We don\u2019t! <\/span>Who needs experience with managing budgets, and armed forces, and economies?! <\/span>We don\u2019t! <\/span>All we need is a guy who believes<\/em> that he can be the change we need.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n But, apparently, Obama doesn\u2019t believe in himself enough. <\/span>For all his talk about experience not being an issue, he chose a guy with a long history of political experience (and also of plagiarism and exaggerations). <\/span>For all his talk about a new brand of politics and change<\/em> we can count on, Obama sure did pick an old-school politician. <\/span>Maybe he\u2019s not as confident as we thought. <\/span>Maybe he\u2019s actually a little desperate. <\/span>How else could the politician of \u201chope and change\u201d nab a running mate as flat-out dishonest as Biden?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n So, Barack \u201cChange We Can Believe In\u201d Obama picked a plagiarizing, dishonest, old-school (but experienced, even though it doesn\u2019t matter that much) running mate. <\/span>John \u201cI\u2019d rather my President be Old and not Stupid\u201d McCain picked Sarah Palin. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s funny that Liberals are screaming about her lack of experience in an election where Obama said himself, \u201cmy lack of experience is my greatest asset.\u201d <\/span>Palin, as the governor of Alaska, has plenty of experience with National Defense. <\/span>Alaska is the first line of defense of America\u2019s missile interceptor system. <\/span>This means, if another country (oh, maybe Iran) tries to shoot missiles at us, Alaska better be on its toes. <\/span>(Interestingly, Alaska is the only state where its National Guard is on permanent duty.) <\/span>As governor, she\u2019s briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism. <\/span><\/span><\/span>She’s also the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security’s counterterrorism plans.<\/span><\/p>\n Obama\u2026uh\u2026Obama is change we can believe in! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n I do realize that comparing Obama to Palin seems silly. <\/span>When, in any other election, has so much focus been placed upon the vice presidential candidates? <\/span>I\u2019m just sick of hearing the whining about how she\u2019s only a \u201chairbreadth\u201d away from being the President, and she doesn\u2019t have the experience necessary for the job. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n HELLO!? <\/span>Obama is RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT, AND HE HAS ZERO EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE!!!! <\/span>People! <\/span>Palin ran an entire state, dealt with issues of counterterrorism, and controlled our NATION\u2019S missile defense system! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Obama was a senator. <\/span> <\/span>And he did charity work. <\/span>And\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n \u2026<\/span><\/p>\n “My understanding is that Gov. Palin\u2019s town, Wassilla, has I think 50 employees. We’ve got 2500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe 12 million dollars a year \u2013 we have a budget of about three times that just for the month,” Obama said<\/a> when Anderson Cooper asked him about Palin\u2019s experience.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Oh, yeah. <\/span>There you go. <\/span>I looked up Alaska\u2019s FY2008 operating budget\u2026which happens to be $11.2 billion dollars<\/em>. <\/span>The state also employs about 15,000 people. <\/span>Why address her mayoral experience and ignore her gubernatorial statistics? <\/span>Oh, yeah. <\/span>It\u2019d kind of make your little campaign pale in comparison. <\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Hey, and you know what else I\u2019m sick of? <\/span>The vicious attacks on Palin\u2019s personal life. <\/span>First, accusations arose that Trig, her youngest child, belonged to Bristol, one of her daughters. <\/span>Once Palin set the record straight by letting the world know that Bristol was actually already five months pregnant, without even pausing for breath, the reporters began screaming about how a parent who promotes abstinence but lets her daughter get pregnant is a hypocrite and unfit for command.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Maybe I\u2019m all by myself out here, but how many of you have faithfully upheld every single ideal your parents believe in? <\/span>I know I haven\u2019t, but far be it from anyone <\/em>to say my parents are unfit simply because I\u2019ve made my own (poor) decisions. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n At least Bristol\u2019s doing the right thing and keeping the baby, just like her mom kept Trig. <\/span>If this was one of Obama\u2019s girls, we never would have known. <\/span>He would have had no problem instructing his daughter to \u201ctake care of the problem\u201d. <\/span>What\u2019s one unborn baby, one human life<\/em>, when there\u2019s an election to win?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Thank God<\/em> for someone who is unashamed to stand up for what she believes in. <\/span>Thank God<\/em> that we have someone who not only has strong morals, but upholds them. <\/span>What, Obama? <\/span>It\u2019s \u201cabove your paygrade\u201d to state your views about abortion? <\/span>Sir, you are campaigning to be the Chief Executive Officer<\/em> of our entire COUNTRY<\/em>. <\/span>I think stating your belief without trying to appease everyone falls very neatly within your job description. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
